It is covered with thick forests which are the home of over four hundred species of birds, and monkeys, toucans, jaguars etc.

Hiking in these forests can be a superbly romantic activity. Couples can also go for biking and horse back riding in the lush green trails of the rain forest. Many couples also spend their night under the skies while camping out in the rainforest. For some extra adventure, go for bungee jumping, but this is only suitable for extremely adventurous people.

The best time to visit Costa Rica is between December and April as this is the driest period of the year in the country. The rest of the year is also pleasant but couples may have to risk rains in these months. Costa Rica generally has a hot climate that remains comfortable through out the year.
